Blueberry Haven has been chosen as a finalist for this year’s Martha Stewart American Made Award. The final winner will be decided from an Audience Choice Award selection that will take place from September 21 to October 19. The contest winner will be announced on October 23, 2015.
According to the Martha Stewart website, the American Made Award “spotlights the maker, supports the local, and celebrates the handmade. The program is made up of people and communities that have turned their passion for quality craftsmanship and well-designed goods into a way of life.”
Entries in the contest were accepted between June 17 and August 31, 2015, and were placed in one of four categories: Crafts, Design, Food, and Style. A panel of expert judges then used the following criteria to select the finalists:
Innovativeness, demonstrated creativity and originality of idea
Workmanship
Appearance
Embodiment of American Made theme
Blueberry Haven was chosen as a finalist in the Food category, under the “Bottled, Jarred, & Canned” group.
